We like to think we offer a fantastic Tudor experience every Sunday but we’re going above and beyond on our Tudor Experience day.

As a hunting lodge, falcons would be no stranger to Sheffield Manor Lodge in Tudor times. We’ll be joined by falconers for you to see these impressive birds swoop into action.

Archery was the national sport for Tudor England, the football of its day, as well as being an important battle skill and useful for hunting. Join in with a have go archery and see if you can hit the bulls eye!

Craftsman and women were and integral part of Tudor living and each large house would have their own workers. You can see the Abbeydale blacksmiths hard at work as well as spinning and pewter displays.

Finally we’ll be joined by the Doncaster Waites for traditional Tudor music.

As always you can meet Bess of Hardwick but we will be joined by Mary Queen of Scots and George Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury for you to find out more about Mary’s captivity at Sheffield Manor Lodge.

£5 per adult, £2 per child, £12 family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children)
